Joomla! Compatatbility

Current versions of JCE (1.0.4 and 1.1.0 beta 2) are only for use with Joomla 1.0.x, preferably the latest version. JCE is not yet compatible with Joomla 1.5 beta.

Server-side / hosting requirements

JCE has the same server-side requirements as Joomla! and functions best with safe-mode off. The Image Manager SE requires the GD2 php library.

Other requirements

An understanding of the Joomla! administrative functions is required, especially the installtion and general use of Mambots and Components.
