Feed Error Fix

Some of you may have come across this error in the JCE Administration Component Control Panel recently. This is nothing to be alarmed about, as it occurs because the new site is not yet offering a news feed which would be displayed as it was before, in the Control Panel.

To remove the Feed module and susequantly the error, go to Extensions->Module Manager and click on the 'Administrator' tab, then find and disable the 'JCE Latest News' module.

UPDATE: An additional fix which restores the feed invloves editing the module and changing the Feed URL to http://www.joomlacontenteditor.net

Because of the changes in Joomla! 1.5, which the site is now running, the feed will only be available for JCE 1.6.x

I don't see the JCE Latest News module that you are speaking of, and I still get the ERROR LOADING FEED DATA message. I am running Joomla! in Legacy 1.0 but I installed JCE in 1.5. I hope that was the right thing to do.

Any chance you could be a little more specific about what needs to be fixed to restore the feed in 1.5???? TIA D

To fix this I went to Module Manager and the Administrator Section but was met with a blank list. To get the JCE New Feed in my list I had to set the Position list value to: jce_cpanel. The newsfeed alternative link address replacement does then fix the problem. This is logical but perhaps not obvious to all. Cheers if this helps you. dpminusa
