Create a Tooltip

A tool-tip can be created on any element or text selection. A tool-tip requires only a class identifier and a title, and these properties can be set

• in the Link dialog when creating a link,
• in the Image Manager when inserting an image,
• on any other element using the Insert / Edit Attributes dialog,
• on a text selection using the Abbreviation dialog

JCE MediaBox must be installed and enabled to show tooltips.

Creating a tool-tip on a link

1. In the Link dialog Title field, enter in the tool-tip title and text, separated by a double colon, eg: Title::Text
   
   
   
   
2. Click on the Advanced Tab.
3. Select jcetooltip from the Class list.
   
   
   
   
4. Continue editing the other properties of the link or click Insert

Creating a tool-tip on an image

1. In the Image Manager dialog, click on the Advanced tab.
2. In the Title field, enter the tooltip title and text, seperated by a double colon :: eg: Title::Text
   
   

3. Select jcetooltip from the Class list.

   
   
   
4. Continue editing the other properties of the image or click Insert

Creating a tool-tip on any element

1. Select the element by clicking on it or by clicking on the element name in the Path
2. Click the Insert / Edit Attributes button
3. In the Title field, enter the tooltip title and text, separated by a double colon :: eg: Title::Text
   
   

4. Select jcetooltip from the Class list.

   
   
   
5. Click Update

Creating a tool-tip on a text selection

1. Select some text
2. Click on the Abbr button to open the Abbreviation dialog 
3. In the Title field, enter the tooltip title and text, separated by a double colon :: eg: Title::Text
4. 
   
   
   
5.  Select jcetooltip from the Class list.
   
   
   
   
6. Click Insert
