Supported Media for Iframes
When the Allow Iframes option is set to Local Content and Supported Media Only, Supported Media options can now be enabled or disabled with a checklist of common media providers. In addition, any number of custom URL values can be provided to validate any other custom iframe URL against.
Extended Media Field Options
When creating a new JCE Media Field, an Extended Media option will now provide access to additional fields to the content author including Width, Height, Embed Type (Link or Embed) or the option to set a Caption, which will render the media inside a <figure>
element with an associated <figcaption>
. Each Media Field can now also have a Media Path value set as the root folder of the File Browser, relative to the File Directory Path set in the relevant Editor Profile.
Image Data Upload
Image data copied to the clipboard (from an image editing app or image view such as Preview on macOS) can now be pasted directly into the editor for upload, which will display a dialog to provide a Name and Quality setting for the uploaded image. A successful upload will insert the image at the cursor.
Other additions and improvements
- Input fields in the Rollover tab (Image Manager, Image Manager Extended) can now be cleared by clicking the x button on the right of the input box.
- Media elements (iframe, video, audio) that are marked as non-editable (eg: with a mceNonEditable class value) will not be removed from content if the profile is prohibited from using these tags.
- A Mute option is now available in the Media Options tab in the Media Manager for Youtube videos. The Mute option will be checked automatically when Autoplay is checked (required by Youtube)
- The NonEditable plugin is now enabled by default, and its parameter options can be found in Editor Parameters -> Advanced.
