JCE Pro 2.9.72 released

The JCE Pro 2.9.72 update introduces significant enhancements to media security and the Code Editor, along with essential bug fixes.

Media Security Enhancements

The update builds on the Media Security Improvements introduced in the previous release by adding new configuration options for the sandbox attribute in iframes. Users now have the ability to enable or disable the use of the sandbox attribute, providing greater control over how scripts from embedded sites are managed. Additionally, options are available to exempt specific URLs from the sandbox requirement. By default, local URLs and trusted sites such as YouTube and Vimeo are automatically exempted. Furthermore, a custom value for the sandbox attribute can be set either in the Code Editor or within the Advanced tab of the IFrames dialog, allowing for even more tailored security settings.

Code Editor Enhancements

The Code Editor has received several improvements aimed at enhancing the user experience. New themes have been added, giving users more options to personalize their editing environment. The search functionality has also been upgraded with the addition of Match Case and Whole Word search options, making it easier to find specific text within the code. Additionally, the Font Size parameter has been re-introduced, and basic tab indentation within the editor has been restored.

File Manager and Video Embedding Fixes

Issues related to embedding PDF files using the File Manager and embedding video media, which were caused by the Restricted Media Tags changes in the last update, have been addressed in this release.
