This is a maintenance update to fix bugs and issues found or reported since the last release. The update also includes a backwards compatabilty layer for enhancements to the File Directory Path to be introduced in JCE Pro 2.9.90
File Directory Path Enhancements in JCE Pro 2.9.90
This update adds a backward compatibility layer for the File Directory Path in preparation for the enhancements coming in JCE Pro 2.9.90. Consequently, if you upgrade to 2.9.90 and later need to revert to an earlier version, you should install JCE Pro 2.9.88 to maintain full compatibility.
JCE Pro 2.9.90 will allow you to define multiple File Directory Paths, each with an optional label. Path variables are still supported for dynamic values. In the Image Manager, File Browser, and other dialogs, these paths will be displayed as a list of folders named by their labels.
A beta of JCE Pro 2.9.90 will be available for testing next week. Visit the development page and subscribe to receive notifications whenever new updates are posted.
