This update adds a few new features to MediaBox as well as some improvements and bug fixes.
New Features
- Click to Expand Option: A new parameter allows you to enable or disable the "Click to Expand" functionality on resized images, giving you more control over image interactions.
- Autopop Delay: A delay option has been introduced, configurable via the data-media-delay attribute. This allows autopops to open after a specified number of seconds. For example:
<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassiopeia_(mother_of_Andromeda)" type="iframe" class="jcepopup autopopup-multiple" data-mediabox="1" data-mediabox-width="800" data-mediabox-height="600" data-mediabox-title="Cassiopeia" data-mediabox-caption="Mother of Andromeda" data-mediabox-delay="10">Cassiopeia</a>
Improvements
- Fullscreen Zoom for Images: The option to expand an image to fullscreen will now only appear when the image's natural width and height exceed its displayed dimensions. This will be indicated by a zoom cursor on the image, improving user interaction by providing more intuitive controls.
- PDF Embedding: PDFs are now embedded and displayed using the <object> tag once again, ensuring more consistent rendering and improved compatibility across platforms.

This update addresses several bugs and issues reported since the previous release and introduces a change to the rendering of JCE Media Fields. If a user does not have access, these fields will now be disabled, effectively making them "read-only."
JCE Media Field Update
The JCE Media Field is a more advanced version of the Joomla Media Field, offering enhanced functionality by integrating the JCE File Browser. It allows you to select and manage various media types, including images, videos, and documents, with improved rendering and layout options.
This field is typically accessible to all users through the Fields tab when creating or editing articles, with permissions configurable for specific user groups during field creation. Since the JCE Media Field utilizes the JCE File Browser, it adheres to the settings defined in the JCE Editor Profile, and requires the File Browser feature to be enabled under the Features & Layout tab of the Editor Profile.
If the File Browser is not enabled, the JCE Media Field will become disabled, functioning as a "read-only" field. Additionally, Joomla Media Fields that would normally be converted to use the JCE File Browser, such as those found in the Images and Links tab when creating an article, will not be converted.

Element Selectors in Style Select Custom Classes
When specifying custom classes for the Style Select list, you can now include an element selector in the class name to apply the class exclusively to that element. For example, p.my_class will apply "my_class" only to paragraph tags.

Responsify is a powerful Joomla plugin designed to ensure that various media elements, including objects, videos, audio files, and iframes (such as YouTube and Vimeo embeds), are fully responsive on the front-end of your website.
With its Full Width Display feature, Responsify automatically adjusts media to fit the entire width of the page, providing a seamless viewing experience across all devices. Additionally, the Click to Play option enhances page performance by loading certain media, like iframes, only when the user clicks a placeholder, reducing unnecessary load times and improving user interaction.
This update fixes an issue where some contents of an iframe, eg: Youtube scripts, were still loaded if the Click to Play option was enabled but not yet activated.
Download and Installation
The plugin can be downloaded from here. A JCE Pro Subscription is required.
