This updates adds double-click instant insert to the File Browser, Image Manager etc., fixes a few issues with text selection and the Cut action on Android and iOS and fixes a few bugs and issues reported since the last update.
Double-click Insert
Double-clicking a file name in the File Browser, Image Manager, Media Manager, etc., now instantly selects and inserts the file into the editor, eliminating the need for additional actions. While this method skips the setting of attributes or options, it offers a straightforward way to insert images, videos, or file links with a single action.
Android and iOS selection fixes
While addressing a text selection bug on Android and iOS, we found it was triggered by the Context Menu activating on double-tap. Consequently, due to its limited utility on touch devices, the Context Menu has now been disabled on these platforms. Additionally, we've resolved an issue on Android and iOS where text was copied but not deleted when using the Cut action.
iPadOS Detection Issues
With the selection bug on Android and iOS, as well as a PDF display issue in JCE MediaBox, we discovered that iPadOS has dropped the "ipad" reference in its User-Agent string which helps websites identify the browser and operating system. To circumvent this, we implemented an additional JavaScript method within the Editor and MediaBox. However, this workaround is not viable on the server side with PHP, preventing the detection of iPadOS for determining the appropriate Editor Profile based on the Device option. Consequently, Editor Profiles designated for Tablet or both Tablet and Phone will not function as expected on Apple iPad devices.

This update fixes some issues with rendering of the FontAwesome classes list, improves selection of existing font icons in the editor, and defaults to using local fontawesome stylesheet assets when the plugin is configured to load Fontawesome in the site front-end.

This update fixes some icon display issues with the Light and Shadow theme, and improves detection of iPadOS in order to prevent the display of PDF files in a popup, which render incorrectly on iOS devices.
PDF popup link on iOS will open the file in a new browser tab. On Android devices, which are also unable to display PDF files, the popup will show a system "View File" link to download the PDF.

UPDATE: JCE Pro 2.9.60 has been released to fix a bug where folders would not be displayed in the File Browser, Image Manager etc. if a Directory Filter option was not set.
This is a maintenance update to fix a few issues reported or discovered since the last update, including some minor improvements in Joomla 5 compatability.

This update adds file duplication when pasting a file onto an existing one with the same name, a Legacy Media Support option to remove the Desciption field from all JCE Media Fields, and fixes a few bugs reported or discovered since the last update.
File Duplication on Paste
When pasting a file onto itself in the File Browser, Image Manager etc. a copy of the existing file will be made with the suffix _copy or using the option set in Editor Profiles -> Editor Parameters -> Filesystem -> File Name Suffix.
Pasting a file into a new folder that contains a file with the same name will now display an option to Keep Both files - creating a copy as above - or Overwrite the exiting file with the pasted one.
Legacy Media Support
The Description text field added to the JCE Media Field in the last udpated has caused some issues for some users who were accessing the field value directly from the database in Yootheme Dynamic Content and other extension functions. Adding the Description field required that the Media Field value be saved as a JSON string, containing values for both the URL and Description fields, ie: {"media_src":"","media_text":""} instead of a single value for the URL as before the update.
A Legacy Media Support option has been added in the Field - Media JCE plugin parameters to remove the Description text field and restore the single URL value. Once enabled, existing affected articles containing thesese JCE Media Fields should be re-saved to restore the single value.
The option can bse set in System -> Manage -> Plugins in Joomla 4 and Joomla 5 or Extensions -> Plugins in Joomla 3. Search for Field - Media JCE , click the entry to edit it and enable the option if required.
