Who is Paddle?

Paddle are the official reseller of the JCE Pro Subscription and other products from Widget Factory Limited (that's us). The JCE Pro Subscription can only be purchased from Paddle, via this website, and Paddle are responsible for delivery and activation of the subscription once the purchase has been completed.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Paddle accept:

  • Cards (including Mastercard, Visa, Maestro, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, UnionPay, and Mada)
  • PayPal
  • iDEAL
  • Google Pay (Chrome only)
  • Apple Pay (HTTPS pages on Safari only)

Unfortunately we are unable to accept Wired Transfer / ACH / Bank Transfer payments as our product pricing is below Paddle's $100 USD threshold.

I don't want to buy from Paddle. Can I send you the money using Paypal?

No. One unfortunate burden of selling digital software and services is the growing tax compliance issues across multiple countries, territories and states (in the USA). It would be impossible for us to comply with all of the tax rules we would be expected to. Even a single transaction might incur a tax liability for us that unresolved could lead to fines or other penalites.

Why am I charged VAT or Tax on my purchase?

Paddle will charge tax on the purchase of the JCE Pro Subscription in accordance with the tax rules of the country or state you are located in, based on your location information as determined by your IP address and information you provide at checkout.

I am exempt from VAT or Tax. Why am I still being charged?

If you provide information at checkout that exempts you from paying tax, eg: an EU VAT number if you are a business based in the EU, then Paddle will refund the VAT charged to you once they have conducted further checks to confirm the expemption.

If you need to provide additional information to request an exemption and refund, you can do so by contacting Paddle after the purchase has been completed by replying to the email receipt they send you.

Where can I get an Invoice or Receipt for my purchase?

Paddle will send you an email receipt when you complete the purchase which will include a link to an invoice. You can also view the invoice by clicking the Invoice button in Your Account. You can add or update the address information in the invoice. If you require further modifications or have a question about the purchase or invoice, please contact Paddle by replying to the email receipt you were sent.
