How do I change the background color of a cell, or a row of cells?

Ryan
1. Click in a table cell.
2. Click the Table Cell Properties button.
3. In the Dialog, click on the Advanced tab.
4. Scroll down to Background Color, and set or select a colour.
5. Select whether to Update the Current Cell or Update All Cells in Row
6. Click Update.

Thank you. Although I followed the excellent instructions, and the change is there on the Articles Edit page, it does not appear on the website page.

If I change the text background, this does appear on the website page.

There appears to be a bug in the Table dialog, but only if the editor Doctype is set to HTML4, which I think you have.

In the Editor Global Configuration, set the Doctype option to Mixed, then edit the table cells again.

The bug will be fixed in the next update.

You are correct, it was set to Doctype HTML4 but changing it to Mixed made no difference.
I will wait for bug fix...

Ryan
It looks like the Doctype may still be set to HTML4, perhaps in the Editor Profile?

Yes you are correct, it was HTML4 in the Editors Profile. It is working now that I have changed it to Mixed there too.
Many thanks for your patience!
