Hi Ryan,
isn't it possible to create a link (a) element using custom styles?
I see the element is missing from the tags list of the custom styles.
I would assume this would be so because an a tag requires additional attributes in order to work right... and usually it is handled through the link editor button where it's possible to add styles, classes etc, but I would like to get your input on this.
Overall, I am testing the possibility of giving the user the ability to use the styles to create links with special classes directly in the editor using the styles...

Ryan
I have added this as an option for Custom Styles in JCE Pro 2.8.0. You can test it in JCE Pro 2.8.0 Beta 13 - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/development

Thanks Ryan for the quick response.
I tried it quickly and although it works as expected, it doesn't serve my purposes finally.
For what I want to achieve, tt looks like it's better to use the templates.

JCE Pro 2.8.0 includes new tools for templates. You can now set up template options in Editor Profiles -> Plugin Parameters -> Template Manager, to be inserted using a drop-down menu from the Template Manager button.
