I tested it in JCE2.8.2 beta3, but the bug isn't away.
When selecting a folder in the path-area of the IME-popup, the folder-structure displayed in the most left area, only scrolls to the top.
The selected folder is highlighted (you can see it, when scrolling the area), but JCE doesn't auto-scroll to it. See video.
For me, jce always should display the selected folder as highlighted always on top in the left folder-area, whether when selecting a folder by path-area or selecting it in the left folder-area.

in JCE 2.8.11 beta 11 this bug hasn't gone for now.
In very earlierer JCE-Versions (JCE Pro 2.6.7 to JCE Pro 2.6.10 or later? - I can't remember exactly) there was such a bug too, but it was fixed.
