I'm again struggling with getting the simple gallery to work correctly. I'm making sure that multiple images are presented, assign a group name, name the images, set Hide Popup Link to Yes
Insert
Go to the first image and change Hide Popup Link to No.

The first image shows correctly, but not the second and third. Used to work fine.

Please try JCE Pro 2.9.5 Beta - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/development

You will need to re-create the popups again, but I have just tested this and it is working OK.
