I am new to MediaBox, but believe I have followed the tutorial faithfully.
If you look at the article "Frauenhofer tandem photovoltaic solar cell ..." in the FEEDBAG column at
https://hellbenderpress.org/#feedbag
you will NOT see the popup icon superimposed on the image.
When you click or tap on the image--that will NOT display it in the lightbox--but just open the lonely, bare image at full size (or window size)! Exactly as if I'd merely wrapped it with a plain anchor tag targeting its URL directly.
What am I doing wrong?

It doesn't look like MediaBox is installed or enabled - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/installation/mediabox
Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.

Thanks for the response, but how would I've been able to use the plugin to configure the settings if it weren't installed AND enabled?
Below is what it generated, but why does it not work as expected?
<div><span class="wf_caption" style="max-width: 1279px; width: 100%; display: inline-block;" role="figure"><a href="images/III-V-Silicium-Tandemsolarzelle-web.jpg" target="_self" type="text/html" class="jcepopup" data-mediabox="1" data-mediabox-title="Frauenhofer Tandem Photovoltaic III-V//Silicon Solar Cell " data-mediabox-caption="Close-up color image of the bottom and the top of two Tandem III-V//Silicon cells" data-mediabox-src="images/III-V-Silicium-Tandemsolarzelle-web.jpg" data-mediabox-type="text/html"><img src="images/III-V-Silicium-Tandemsolarzelle-web.jpg" alt="Close-up photograph showing the top and bottom of two solar cells" width="1279" style="width: 100%; float: none;" role="figure" /></a><span style="display: block;">The rainbow colors show the diffraction of sunlight by a mirror with a nanostructured grating, which was applied to the back of the silicon subcell. The sun’s spectrum is thus captured even better in the silicon bottom cell. <span style="color: #999999;">© Fraunhofer ISE / Photo: Michael Schachtner</span></span></span></div>

If I look at the source code of the page - https://hellbenderpress.org/#feedbag - I do not see the jcemediabox javascript and css files loaded, which led me to that conclusion.
Have you assigned JCE MediaBox to a specific component or menu item in the JCE MediaBox parameters?
