Cannot use drop down in Styles editor. Was working fine just a few days ago. All other editor options with arrows to drop down work fine. Just purchased and updated to JCE Pro but that did not help. Please advise how to proceed.

Have you changed templates recently? Which template are you using?

No, the template has not been touched. The site had no design changes made at all.
Below screenshot is from the template area.

In your site's configuration.php file, have you set a specific value for the $live_site variable?

Yes, the web address is in there. I removed it and the issue is fixed.

Can you let me know in a nutshell why this variable causes issues?

Thank you for your help

The value you had set was not identical to the site url, it was missing the www, so the browser was rejecting processing of the stylesheet because it regarded it as from a different domain or sub-domain to the one loading it.

I removed it completely. Is it necessary to have this field filled out? should I add it back with the www?

No it is not necessary to have this value set as far as I'm aware. Best to leave it blank. Any extension can get the proper current value from the Joomla API.
