Hi Ryan, I have an issue when I try to upload PNG files from JCE Image Manager Extended : after upload, black squares are added to the PNG file and transparency is not kept. This issue doesn't occurs with the default Joomla Media Manager (com_media) I've attached two files to this post : the original and the corrupt one. I tried to change server configuration (tested on PHP 7.3, 7.4, 8.0) I also tried to disable use of Imagick or GD in JCE configuration, but without success... GD and imagick are installed on the server

I'm not able to reproduce this in my tests, using this image as an example - https://cdn.joomlacontenteditor.net/images/tutorials/bird-1232416_1280.png

Are you performing any processing on the image, like resizing or Remove EXIF?

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.

Hi Ryan,

Are you performing any processing on the image, like resizing or Remove EXIF?

No

I'm not able to reproduce with your image as an example too ...

I'll assume that it's a bug from my Photoshop.

Thanks for the quick reply !

Hello,
i have the same issue, i need to upload my png's via sfpt because transparencies are made white and i get also black blocks as mentioned above. Any further ideas on this?

GFCOM
Hello,

You have to "play" with Photoshop parameters when saving your PNG.
For e.g. try to Save as... PNG ... Large File Size OR Medium File Size OR Minimal File Size.

Don't forget to rename your file when uploading.

Also, you can use the Joomla Media Manager to upload the file without issues.
