Hi there.. I'm trouble shooting some migration issues and came across the download key not being recognized by Joomla. It's there in component options and saves. Small issue.. but annoying, nonetheless :)

At the moment, this is not linked to where Joomla stores the download key for extensions. This has been fixed in JCE Pro 2.9.12 Beta - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/development - which will save the key to the Joomla location at the same time as the JCE one.
Alternatively, just add and save th key in Extensions -> Update Sites.
