It's a few versions of JCE that it has a strange approach to link content.
I'm used to use an "a" tag and inside it I use break to split the text or even images.
Lately when I change the link of the tag "a" with the insert link button of the editor it removes any content inside the link that is not text, it removes the "<br>" tag or the "<img>".
I've tried to search in the configuration if it is a option I can turn off but I wasn't able to find anyting.
Can someone help me out?
Thanks

Are you creating the link on a selection that includes text and images, or just a single selected image?
Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.
When a link is created on content that contains a linebreak, the content is split at the linebreak, and 2 identical links are created with the content on either side of the linebreak.
This has always been the expected behaviour from the Tinymce editor (on which JCE is based), but I'm not 100% sure this is now necessary or correct.
I am looking into the consequences of changing this, and you can test this out with JCE Pro 2.9.17 Beta - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/development
