I am unable to insert a link in an article that would enable people to download a pdf file.
I can use the file browser to find the file and select it, but the Insert button does nothing. When I copy and paste the link from the file manager and insert it into the link dialog, it is apparently interpreted as an email address which is not correct.
JCE Pro is installed and up to date.

Please advise.

Does this happen with all files, or just one with a particular name?

It happens with any file.
I have determined that the problem is specific to Firefox.
I am able to link the files when using Chrome.

Can you reproduce this on the demo site? - https://demo.joomlacontenteditor.net (a pdf - 2017_Joomla_Brand_Manual.pdf - is available to test with).

On the demo site I can do it, even in Firefox.

Can you post a video (or a link to a video) of your process when you attempt to create the link in Firefox?
