I have the latest JCE and when I try to insert a link on an image, the field "text" is empty and it asks me to enter a text. The image is selected an in other browsers this fields shows "element selection".

Is this a bug in JCE or in firefox?

interesting, it didn't show any updates, but I downloaded the latest version and it fixes this problem
