Hi,
Using JCE 2.9.20-beta1 on Joomla 4.0.6 (same problem with earlier JCE versions on Joomla 4).
It appears that on upload Image Manager Extended enlarges images that are smaller than the configured image size.
That's a pitfall, of course.
As far as I can tell this never happened on Joomla 3.
Do I miss something?

I'm not able to reproduce this.

Are you setting any resize values for the image when you upload it?

If not, you may have some other Joomla plugin installed on your Joomla 4 site that is resizing the images on upload. The JCE upload routine does send and event out that other plugins can use.

If you are setting resize values on upload, there is a new "Resize Enlarge" option in Editor Profiles -> Editor Parameters -> Filesystem, then when enabled, will allow smaller images to be resized up. It is enabled by default, so disable it.

I will probably change this to be disabled by default in the next update.

You might want to know that enlarging results in huge file sizes also.
