So, I recently purchased a subscription and already, the first update notice is buggy.

Error
Failed to download package. Download it and install manually from https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/index.php?option=com_releases&task=update.download&file=pkg_jce_pro_2920.zip.

Going to

https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/index.php?option=com_releases&task=update.download&file=pkg_jce_pro_2920.zip.

gives also an

404 Not Found

Bad first impression and experience with JCE.

You cannot update to JCE Pro from within Joomla if you have JCE Core installed.

You need to first download JCE Pro and install it using the Joomla Installer - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/latest

I assumed, as you said that you had just bought a subscription, that you had JCE Core installed and were upgrading to JCE Pro.

If you have JCE Pro installed already, and you are updating to a new version of JCE Pro, this can be done using the Joomla Updater, provided you have set your subscription key - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/faq/subscription/using-the-subscription-key

Alternatively, you can download and install the latest version of JCE Pro - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/latest
