I have just upgraded from Joomla 3.10 to 4.
On the front page I have article snippets with thumbnail pictures.
Now the thumbnails have been shrinked and I don't know why, and I don't know how to correct it.

Before I upgraded to J4 I established a test site whre there is no such problem.

I tried installing pkg_jce_pro_2921-beta2 but that didn't help.

Please post a link to an example.

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.

To match the snippet text on the website's front page the thumbnail shoul be 280x187px

I have tried to correct one thumb but it won't go further than 207px width. When you look at the other ones you see they don't mach the text either.

This is caused by your template's styling of the
element surrounding the image, which I assume has been added by Joomla or the extension displaying the content as the image is an "intro image"

Ok. I see it but, can you give me a hint where I can change it?
I'm using Gantry 5 v. 5.5.11 and corresponding Helium template.
I have used Gantry 5 and JCE side by side several years, why do you think it occurs now?

Add the following to the template's custom.css file (or the appropriate place in the template's configuration):

figure {
  margin: 0;
  text-align: center;
}

That worked brilliantly!
Thank you for the amazing speed of your response!

Can you think of a reason why this happened now, is it with Gantry 5 or Joomla 4?

Was the image inserted in the article content or as an intro image?

Yes.

Ryan
If it was inserted as an Intro Image in the Images & Links tab, then Joomla would have wrapped it in the
tag, and Gantry would style the tag, giving the layout result you did not want.

None of this has anything to do with JCE, as the Intro Image field is not part of JCE.

I see. So actually Joomla 4 is to blame then.
I think I will report that to Joomla.

Thanks anyway for your help and enlightening!

I wish you a nice day!

Kind Regards,
