Hi there,

when we try to insert a video on an article via Media Manager the video is not being saved.
We have been trying with Youtube URL and when we click insert and Media Manager pop-up is closed, we can see the video and all seems to be good.
But as soon as we save or Save&close the article, the video is being removed.
We tried with pictures and all is fine - so this is with videos only.

We are using latest version of JCE Editor 2.9.22 and latest Joomla Version 3.10.8.


Any idea ?

Hi Ryan,
thanks for the help and the link to this important FAQ.
I checked everything and this setup / configuration was in place already but it is still not working.

I tested the same on various Joomla 3 pages and it is everywhere the same.
But I tested it on one of our Joomla 4 installations and here it works as expected.

Still no idea how to fix our issue.

I think you missed the part about RSFirewall scambles tags - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/faq/editor/iframe-removed-on-saving - as this was the cause of the issue.

I have added the RSFirewall exception for com_content on your site.

Hi Ryan,

indeed I missed the last one with regard to RS Firewall.....sorry. I did not realize there is a third step to be followed.
Now all is fine and I did that for other pages too and it works fine.
My issue is solved 😉
