What is the default font and where can I change it. I've checked in global and profiles and cannot find it anywhere.
Also the default font size is 11pt. How can I change it to 12pt.

The default font-size is set by your site template stylesheet, so you will need to edit it there to change it for editor content too.

Ask your template developer how to do this, as it may be possible via the template's configuration settings.

The default font that the editor contents are displayed in? Then yes, this is controlled by the template.
