Hi,

we using Plugin Parameters - Style Select - Custom Style to enable the content authors to just beautify their content with preformatted classes.

We had set up a custom style "highlight" for Tag "div" (screenshot)

In one of your prior versions this leads to addition of a surrounding div-tag to the marked text (eg. paragraph and ul-list) and passing the class highlight to it. I'm not sure in which version we defined this style. But it worked as expected.

Now we facing the issue that when we mark a paragraph and a ul-list the custom style "highlight" can not be chosen from the style select dropdown in the editor.

Workaround ist to manually select the content, add via Format-Select a wrapping div-container, click the div container in the "Path" on the bottom of the editor and then select the style "highlight" from the style dropdown list.

Next issue: When the selected text ends with a ul-list, the list will not be surrounded by the div container. We had to add an additional p-tag after the ul list and mark this too. Then the complete text is surrounded by the div container.

For normal content authors this is very complicated. How can we solve this?

Once again:
We want to select text (containing p, ol, ul and other block elements) and then just select a custom style.
This should add a surrounding div container with the specified class.
Deselecting the style should remove the surrounding div-container if there are no other classes given.

Hope you can help with this issue.

Best Regards

Please try JCE Pro 2.9.30 Beta - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/development

Clear your browser cache after install.

This will fix the issue of the wrapper not being applied when using the Styles list, but not yet the issue of the wrapper not being correctly applied to the list element. I am investigating this issue, so please use the extra paragraph workaround until I can find a fix.

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.

Thanks for the fix so far. I can confirm that the fix works along with the workaround.

But when we now try to remove the style (in case of false editing) the container will be removed incorretly when we select the text in editor and then deselect the style. (see screenshots attached).

But it get correctly removed completely when we select the div.highlight via the Path under the editor.

Hi Ryan,

thank you very much.

Now it is correctly applied to and removed from the marked content (except the content ends with a ul list).

Hope you can fix the list-issue in future too.

For now the fix with the workaround is ok for us.

Best Regards
