If you select a directory in the file tree, the contents of the folder will open in the associated file window. Going back throws you back to the top directory instead of the directory in the folder tree, where you came from. This is very ugly, as it often creates a lot of scrolling work. See this video: https://www.screenpresso.com/=8hRCg

In this case, the return should take place to directory BR_056 and not to the top entry in the "maerklin" directory tree.

I don't understand. Are you saying that when you go to the "maerklin" folder, it should scroll down to the "BR_056" folder, or that when you go back to the "BR_056" folder, it should scroll to the image?

Neither of these things are logical, as navigating away from the current folder is effectively breaking the link with the URL value.

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.

Hi Ryan,
let me explain again.

If you go into editing via the image, the file window is positioned on the image in the associated directory (......../maerklin/BR56) . If you save or close the window, the focus is not set back to the directory (......../BR56). Instead, it is placed in the upper area of the directory tree (....../maerklin).

Hi Ryan,

any chance of getting a solution?

Ryan
I will look into this for JCE Pro 2.9.36

Hi Ryan,

I want to remind. Release 2.9.36 is over.;)
Any chance to get a solution in the next days?

Ryan
No sorry I haven't had a chance to look at this yet. To be honest it is not a priority, so it will be implemented when I have time to do it.

ok, as you want.
But I'll be waiting for that, because it does a lot of scrolling work to get back to the folder, that was mapped to the files pane in directories with many subdirectories.
