Hi,
I am using JCE for a site, where a limited number of users have access to creating new events in JEvent from the front-end.
I have created a folder (named jevent) with two subfolders (named documents and graphics) in /images
I have created a new user group called JEvent under Publisher.
Who do I create a JCE profile for these users, so they only have access to this folder and the two sub folders? I am sure JCE can handle this, but I can't figure out how.
Best Regards,
Anders

1. In Editor Profiles, select the "Default" profile, then click the Copy button.
2. Click on the new profile (Copy of Default) to edit it.
3. Set a new name for the profile, eg: JEvents.
4. Set the Ordering to "0 First"
5. Set the "Enabled" to Yes.
6. Select the User Group you have created, eg: JEvent
7. Click on the Editor Parameters tab, then on Filesystem.
8. In File Directory Path, enter images/jevent
9. Make any other changes to the profile as desired.
10. Click Save.
Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.

Hi Ryan, how does this work when you have more user groups with the need of restricted image folders? In my scenario, there is site for an organization on country level and there are regions within the organization. We would like to create a folder under images for each region and restrict access of that folder to the respective region. What is the ordering in this case?
TIA

If you have a number of profiles all assigned to different usergroups, the ordering of these profiles relative to each other doesn't matter, as long as they are all above the profile with the least restrictions, eg: "Default"
Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.
