Hacked Folder?
Hello,
I am running an audit on a website and was alerted to a hidden folder that looks suspicious. Here's the report:
The following folders all have a path that contains a period (.) that makes them appear invisible under normal circumstances.
Folder (1 Hidden files/Folders in total)
755
/components/com_jce/editor/extensions/popups/.externalToolBuilders
Is this folder legitimate?
Thanks!
Jose

I have the same question, but the link : "https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/forum/externaltoolbuilders-file#reply-65080" does not seem to exist anymore?
"externalToolBuilders" is a configuration file used by the Eclipse IDE - http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/eclipse-ide-php-developers/photonr - which I used some time ago for JCE development. Unfortunately, an externalToolBuilders files was included in a release package so may have been installed on your site.
This file is completely harmless and can be deleted. If JCE is uninstalled from the site, then the file will also be removed.
This file is not included in current installation packages.
