We have used the JCE editor to insert audio files into our site. We are now trying to move over to https and are getting an error because of some sort of jce plugin that utitlizes a a tiny mce plugin that i loaded over http. It is a gif image of 1x1 pixel this is the call that is failing https

I'm not even sure if this does anything. we need this to load over https however. Any ideas on how to fix this?

It is on the frontend. The error is only an error in the sense that we lose the secured lock on the page and the browser does not render this 1x1 image as it is unsecured with an http address. The page still functions fine so I don't think that this image even does anything.
That image is only used in the editor, when displaying a video placeholder. That it is being included in saved content suggests that there was an error at some point with that article.
Please post a link to the article.

I cannot post a direct link as this article is behind a paywall. However your help has allowed me to pinpoint the conflict. This particular instance shows up when we use the Regular Labs sliders extension and in fact has no bearing on inserting audio. We have used the slides in other locations without error but this instance is buried inside another component called joomla quiz deluxe. If I remove the tags that that extension utilizes {slide}{/slides} then the unsecured link goes away and it maintains the lock.
I realize there are several items going on here for which you are not the developer. However, as I really need to use those other extensions in this instance. Any ideas on how to prevent JCE from leaving that link in during the save error. Perhaps you could point me to the proper line of code on the backend and I can just change the http to https as it seems even when it is there it in no way impacts the display or functionality of the site. Thank you for your assistance.

Well I was making that way more complicated than it needed to be. It turns out that the line of code could simply be edited out in the editor code and then re-saved. There must have been a save error or something initially in the article we used for a template and then it propagated into all 25 of them. I just manually removed them and now we are all set. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
