In Widgetkit the plugin buttons below the editor do not show. This means that inserting a Docman link in Widgetkit requires a workaround, create an article, insert the link, copy and paste into Widgetkit. Could a button in the toolbar that activates Doclink be made? If I remember correctly this is how it used to work when dinosaurs ruled the earth. It would be a huge time saver.
WidgetKit uses a custom method to render the editor, not the Joomla API, so the method to render the editor-xtd buttons is not triggered.
It would be preferable if Joomlatools made a Doclink button for the editor, but I doubt they will, as this issue only affects a few extensions like WidgetKit, which uses custom methods to render the editor.
FYI - WidgetKit's custom rendering affects the default Tinymce editor too.
