Then how to do with JCE PRO?
Do you have a plugin?

Rokbox stopped working from some Gantry 5 particles? Read this.
Posted 5 months 3 weeks ago
We've recently updated some particles in some Gantry 5 templates to stop using our rokbox extension and instead use a new Gantry 5 Core atom called "lightcase" - this looks very much the same as rokbox but works across all the CMS platforms that Gantry5 supports.
If you find that some particles have stopped creating the rokbox modal you would expect then this is what you need to do...
1. On the base outline > "page settings" tab, drag the "lightcase" atom onto the atoms section.
2. Go to the particle settings and then re-save the particle so it's configuration get's updated to use lightcase.
You should now find that the particle works again.
Sorry for any inconvenience but we needed to change this to support all the CMS's with the same solution. Also you should find that it works more reliably than the old rokbox solution.
Regards, Mark.

The RokBox extension still exists - http://www.rockettheme.com/joomla/extensions/rokbox
From what I can see RokBox has only been replaced in the Gantry framework.

Yes but when using rockettheme templates it is imperative that gantry 5 uses Lightcase.
A plugin identical to "RocketTheme RokBox Popups Plugin JCE" for "Lightcase Popup JCE" would be great.
If I understood RokBox => Mootools
while Lightcase => Jquery
Have a good day

Too bad not to benefit from jce rokbox benefits with the new rockettheme Lightcase particle
Rokbox and Roksropcket works with mootool which will be removed in the next version of joomla.
So you have to develop a JCE Lightcase extension ...
Thank you for your answers.

Here's the last answer from Rockettheme:
We appreciate your plugin JCE Rokbox.
Are you going to make a JCE Lightcase plugin?
If not what solution do you propose?
Have a good day
Re: When will mootool no longer be needed with Rokbox and Roksproket?
Posted 12 hours 35 minutes ago
We've been steadily removing any dependency on mootools from our Gantry 5 templates and most no longer require mootools. Rokbox is a different matter - it uses mootools and we won't be rewriting that to use anything else. Most Gantry 5 templates now use lightcase.js instead of rokbox.

Hi Guys,
Just wanted to follow up on this one. At the moment, not having this makes JCE unusable for the majority of our clients.
I know adding the data-rel="lightcase" snippet to the images is fairly easy, but we use JCE simply because the majority of our clients have absolutely no technical or coding ability, so asking them to do this is unrealistic in our case.
Do you have any ETA on when lightcase support might be added?
Thanks!

I have made a simple plugon you can download here - https://github.com/widgetfactory/jce-popups-lightcase
Please note:
Please note:
- This plugin only supports very basic options, including "collection" and "slideshow"
- I have not tested this plugin with lightcase itself, but it does produce the correct markup as per the Lightcase documentation - http://cornel.bopp-art.com/lightcase/documentation/

That is awesome, thank you so much!!
For us, the 'basic' options are perfect. This has really helped keep our clients happy, and we appreciate it very much.
Thanks again!

Edit:
my fault, forgot to load the lightcase particle in the base outline.
One suggestion: wouldn't it be nicer if the arrows for next picture inside a slideshow would be close to the picture instead of left and right to the browser window?

That is an issue for the Lightcase developers. The JCE plugin only creates the code to trigger the Lightcase popup.

Hi Ryan,
maybe you could change the plugin a little bit since one important thing is missing:
if the lightcase link would include " data-lc-options='{"maxWidth":xxx, "maxHeight":xxx}' " where the image size would be included, the popup image would be much larger.
Here you can see the difference:

First image lightcase with no data-lc-option, second with it and third Rokbox (which I think is still the best).

The small images inside the lighcase popups with Gantry5 are based on a hardcoded width and height inside the lightcase.js of Gantry5.
Manually changing the js file works but will be overwritten with every Gantry5 update.
If you could implement the data-lc-options within your plugin we could avoid problems with Gantry5 updates.

Unfortunately this might not be possible due to the way Lightcase retrieves the options from the attribute, and the syntax it expects the data-lc-options to use, which is a standard JSON string inside the data-lc-options value, but with single quotes for the attribute value, eg:
data-lc-options='{"maxWidth" : 800}'
whereas the editor only supports double quotes for the attribute value, thus requiring the JSON stirng to use single quotes, eg:
data-lc-options="{'maxWidth' : 800}"
