Hi Ryan

Just trying to insert a youtube link and when the popup appears there is an error message which is then hiddden behind the tabs and content.
The effect is that the video shows for a fraction of a second on the frontend and then disappears. The code appears to be correct :

<iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/oyNV1A0AFyo" width="560" height="315" class="mceItemMedia mceItemIframe" style="margin: 3px 10px 5px 3px; vertical-align: middle; float: right;" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe>

I've attached a screen print of the backend and the message in the console at the bottom.

I've added the site URL below.

I updated to Joomla Version 3.8

Thanks for your help

Hi. I have the latest 2.9.42. beta 3 version installed on Joomla 3.10.12 PHP 8.028

I'm experiencing issues linking youtube videos in articles in the front end. I can accomplish this successfully in the back end. I've tried several posts which had similar issues, but none has provided the resolution.

I've tried Chrome, Firefox as well as Edge. All have same outcome.

I was able to do this in the previous versions. I'm not sure if this is version related.
I've also disabled the popup settings.

I can send link in PM.

Please help.

Thank you.

What exactly is the issue? Is the video being removed when you save?

Yes. It only happens in the front end. and not the backend.

If it is a different user in the front-end than the admin creating the content, then you need to check that the Text Filter options for the user group are set correctly. Youtube videos require the iframe tag, which is not permitted by default for most user groups by the Joomla Text Filter settings.
