Hi Ryan,
there is a problem, when setting a style via selecting an entry in the "style dropdown-list" of JCE.

That behavior can also be reproduced in the DEMO-environment! - may be it looks like being a bug in tinymce ?
Senario:
I have a html-table with one tr-tag and some td-tags. In one td-tag there is text witch is p-tagged. When trying to set a class - in this case: "hgh_info_kasten" - to this text to show up an "i"-pic, the class entry is set to the td-tag, but not to the p-tag, where it should be.
See attachment-1 to show it in live. The "i"-pic is set outside the p-tag, as the little broken frame around the p-tag shows.
This happens only, when there is only one p-tag in the td-tag. When having more p-tags the class is always set to the corresponding p-tag in the right way.
The attachment-2 shows it in live. The "i"-pic is set inside the p-tag, as the little broken frame around the p-tag shows.
So what would I say:
When there are more .. p-tagged texts inside a td-tag, the class is set to the p-tag - that's ok.
When there is only one p-tagged text . inside a td-tag, the class is set to the td-tag - that's not ok.
