Everytime I want to edit an image in my JCE mediamanager, I get the following message:
Action "resize" failed. Temp image could not be loaded.
Why is that? And what can I do about it?

Thank you, this did the job. Another question: is it possible to save a thumbnail or edited image in another folder right away? When I edit an image and save it, I can only change the filename, is it possible to directly save it in another folder?
I have a gallery that loads all images from a folder but sometimes I want to create a thumbnail of one of those images and not show that thumbnail in the gallery, so I want it saved in its own folder, e.g. 'thumbnails'. Can this be done?

The Thumbnail Editor in the Image Manager Extended dialog allows you to create thumbnails, then save them to a thumbnails folder.

I have also added the option to include a path in the image name when saving an image in the Image Editor in JCE Pro 2.6.27. You can try RC3 here - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/item/jce-pro-dev

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.

Sadly this doesn't fix the "Action "resize" failed. Temp image could not be loaded."
Another ideas?

Thank you!
I reverted to the default .htaccess and it works now. Maybe Admin Tools added something that blocked it?
