The MP3 player is no longer displaying on my site. It was working, and then we just noticed the player/controls are no longer there. I've updated to the latest version (2633) and tried to re insert a mp3 and it's still not displaying. The code being used is:
<audio src="images/conferencecall/Music_Skills/AnsweringBedsideSongRequestsPart1.mp3" controls="controls" type="audio/mpeg"></audio>
Is there something i'm missing? Why did this suddenly stop working and what do I need to do to fix it?
Joomla 3.8.6. PHP 7.1.19

Sorry about that. Here's a link to the site. I now notice that the audio player appears in Firefox, but not Chrome or safari.

This is caused by the height:auto style on line 154 of your template's theme.css file:
audio,
canvas,
img,
svg,
video {
/* 1 */
max-width: 100%;
height: auto;
/* 2 */
box-sizing: border-box;
}

I changed that property to 50px and still do not see it.
What is the best way to fix it?

This has got nothing to do with JCE, but with the way the height: auto style is affecting the browser's rendering of the audio element.
You will get the same effect with any standard <audio> HTML code.

In the above link, the player shows in Firefox, but not in Chrome.

Thank you, Ryan. So, it's my understanding that we just have to wait it out until Chrome fixes this issue?
No, just remove or alter the css rule in your template stylesheet.
The rule is intended to make certain elements "responsive", ie: they are resized in relation to the window size, but this doesn't work or need to be applied to the audio element. You can therefore change the css rule to:
omitting the audio element.
