Hi Ryan,
Hope you are well?
Please can you educate me on an issue that I have not been able to find a clear answer on anywhere else..
I have a client who is using a particular combination of PC with browser (Chrome) OS (Windows 8) and Screen resolution (1366 x 768) and EasyBlog with JCE set as the default editor (as it is on all my sites for everything )
However, when she actually goes to insert or edit and image into a blog post, the rendering on the screen, which for EasyBlog is now in a "pop up" for writing/editing blogs, means she can't actually see the buttons at the bottom of the pop up to make a selection which she finds really annoying!
Are you aware of this as EasyBLOG is a relatively well known option and is there anything we can do about it?
Hope you are well?

Are you referring to the Joomla buttons at the bottom of the editor, or the buttons in the JCE Editor toolbar?
Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.
Sorry didn't make that very plain did I !
No the editor buttons are fine as they are at the top of the window. However, in the latest releases of EasyBLOG they have created an "editor window" to create and edit posts that is superimposed on the desktop view and, by definition a smaller footprint.
As a result if you are creating a blog, and using JCE as your editor on her laptop, and decide to include an image the edit/Insert image pop up created by JCE is too big for the available screen size and, due to it being constrained by the EasyBLOG window, you can't actually move it up. Therefore, when an image selection is made, you can't actually apply it because you can't get to the necessary JCE image editor buttons which are at the base of that window! (they are off screen)
The only solution I have been able to find is to push the browser to "full screen mode" which then provides just enough real estate to see the update/apply buttons...
Does that make sense - and is there any other way to do this?

Hi Ryan,
Sorry for the delay - Bank holiday and all that!
No the same thing does not happen with TinyMCE mainly due to the fact that the footprint of that insert/edit image button is so much smaller than that of JCE's
I have attached a .png in an attempt to describe better what I am seeing...

Unfortunately there isn't anything I can do about this, as the issue lies with the EasyBlog popup, which it appears is "responsive", ie: it resizes to a portion of the window size, but does not allow scrolling within the popup.
When a large JCE dialog is opened, like the Image Manager, this can result in the dialog being cut off.
A simple solution here would be to allow for the EasyBlog popup to scroll, but you would need to speak to Stack Ideas about this.
It should be noted that on certain resolutions, this issue would affect the Joomla popups (Article, Module, Image) at the bottom of the editor too.

Hi Ryan,
Many thanks for your response...
As ever, useful and concise so thank you for the clarity. I will indeed pass the comments onto StackIdeas and will await there response with interest!
Hopefully you can file this away somewhere so that others may be aware also.
