Hello,

I am not able to upload files with my JCE browser since upgrading to PHP 8.1. Help! None of my sites can. All work with PHP 8.0 though.

Do you get the same error when using the Joomla Media Manager (Conent -> Media) to upload?

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.

Hello,

When I upload via the Joomla media manager, I get this error: Property 'name' of argument 'item' of event onFetchMediaItem has a wrong item. Valid: non empty string

Ryan
Do you get any similar errors when you try and install an extension?

It's not the Joomla tmp folder but the server PHP tmp folder. Speak to your hosting company about this.

Hello,

Yes, the php.ini setting was not defined. We changed it to force to /tmp. I don't recall ever having to do this in previous Joomla versions. Is this new to Joomla or PHP 8.1?

Files are uploading fine now.

This is not a Joomla thing. The PHP tmp directory is required to be set for any version of PHP.
