Hi, I installed JCE Responsify and I'm asked for a Download Key. I tried the JCE Editor Pro key, but that didn't work.

The Download Key is missing
How strange, just added the Editor Pro key and it saved. Job done.
It should work. What happens when you enter it in and save?
FYI - the Download Key is used to access updates, not to enable use of the plugin.

The key worked this time, perhaps there was a communication lag.

Same thing happens to me as well. I have the main key which is inserted correctly but it keeps nagging that the plugin can not be updated :-(
So I had to manually donwload the latest version and update manually... hmmm... bit strange
not sure as why this happens as I do pay for this wonderfull tool

Have you set the key for the Responsify plugin itself in System -> Updates -> Update Sites?

when I open the plugin in options I don´t see System -> updates. So it must be me. Need another coffee maybe... The main component does have the correct key inserted but in the plugin itselfe

You don't set it in the plugin options. All Download / Update Keys in Joomla are set in System -> Updates -> Update Sites.
