Dear JCE Team,

here is a very very important feature request:

i am very big friend of copy and paste word content directly to joomla content and as i know it is possible in that way:

the user paste word content (with images) directly into joomla article, when jce shows placeholders of images in content and then the user can upload every singe image to upload zone. So far as good -  BUT:

to reach this JCE behaviour is hard stuff and normal user need "bachelor degree" to set the right settings in JCE:

1. first of all "inline upload" has to be set - in standard settings "inline upload" is active    ----   BUT

2. in a complete other plugin setting "Clipboard" first you have to look for the setting "Process images for upload" and have set it to "YES" to see the desired placeholders in jce content and THAT is ANNOYING.

So here is my feature request : please put another additional setting under the "inline upload" with the TITLE "Show Image placeholders during inline upload"

That is everything i request for - please, please, please........

Thanks
Gerold

After long years, i come to conclusion that JCE is real good editor with tons of very good features, and i very appreciate JCE

BUT

when i try to build up a team for my webpage, where every user (even a user with very low web and computer skills can post content over joomlas front end into joomla articles - in a very easy way)    i prefer the following:

Build a google docs login for a special website - create a directory structure for the website with "artices, subarticles1, subarticles2, subarticles3..., events, and so on".

Then i advice my webpage team

First step:  simply upload the desired document to that google docs area and in

Second step: - copy content from google docs directly to joomla editor.

And voila - no longer problems with inline images, uploading stress and so on - and the bettest thing is, that every joomla article, event content is stored in the google docs area centrally, so every user can check original document and if necessary, can modify it and recopy and paste into related joomla article.

I've just tested this and it is a great workflow, and works really well with JCE Pro, especially if the Editor Profiles -> Plugin Parameters -> Clipboard -> Clean Up Mode option is set to Clean HTML.

I'm not 100% sure about the efficiency of serving images from an external resource like Google Docs...

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.

Yes Ryan - it is a great workflow regarding several aspects:

1. That workflow is very simple - even for web and computer dummies - and that is very important to build up a web team for club pages and so on

2. You got automatically an well structured online archive of your joomla articles

3. you keep clean your joomla file content of unnecessary "everyday stuff" of images - these images are located in google docs. So you have enough webspace for the real important media.

But every year i (internally) hoped, that jce copy and paste from word could be more simplier......

It is an important feature and one I am always working on. I'll add this to the top of the list, and see if I can find a way to improve image handling.
