This is a suggest, not a question.
JCE Editor opens with the menu collapsed, which is fine. But I think the icon for opening the full menu should be different. Because it has three horizontal lines, it's easily confused for a line or paragraph menu function. I'm an occasional content editor so I usually have to click try a few different icons before I get the full menu.
I'm not sure what's an appropriate icon design, but I think you consider re-designing it.

Are you referring to the Toggle Toolbars editor toolbar button?

Tinymce uses three horizontal dots so I may move to that in the future.

This is the default state. Any change is stored in the browser for the duration of the browser session.

That makes sense as other programs use the three-dot item for configuration, options, etc., so it has some familiarity.
