Hello,
How can I automatically fill the article content with a JCE template ?
I use the custom fields for users to easily create an article, For the final layout I use a template with the {field #} tags. So it would be easy for them when the template is automatically loaded on opening a new article or before saving it.

You can do this in 2 ways:
In Editor Profiles -> Editor Parameters -> Advanced, select an HTML file to use as the startup content in the Startup Content option.
or
in Editor Profiles -> Plugin Parameters -> Template Manager, select an HTML file to use as the startup content in the Startup Content option.

Ryan, that's a nice feature! I didn't see it.
The next problem is that is also fills the custom editor fields but maybe I can solve that with a Default Value
