There are several issues with the Permitted File Extensions option:

  • I can't delete already added file extensions, because there is no minus symbol.
  • The description of the option says "An extension can be moved from one group to another using drag & drop", but it doesn't work.
  • I've added the .htaccess file extension to this option, but I still don't see .htaccess file in the JCE browser.

I use JRedirects extension for editing files like robots.txt and .htaccess (see attached screenshot), but I don't like this extension in total.

It would be great to have similar JCE options (Robots.txt editor and Htaccess editor) that could be displayed in the Joomla dashboard 3rd party block.

Also I would like to suggest adding an option for editing .php files via JCE...

I can't delete already added file extensions, because there is no minus symbol.
The description of the option says "An extension can be moved from one group to another using drag & drop", but it doesn't work.

Please try JCE Pro 2.9.83 Beta - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/development

Drag & Drop is only available for exensions that are organized into groups, such as with the Media Manager and File Manager.

I've added the .htaccess file extension to this option, but I still don't see .htaccess file in the JCE browser.

.htaccess is not a file extension it is a hidden file and will not be displayed.

It would be great to have similar JCE options (Robots.txt editor and Htaccess editor) that could be displayed in the Joomla dashboard 3rd party block.

Also I would like to suggest adding an option for editing .php files via JCE...

This is beyond the scope of the intended usage for JCE. Other extensions for this are available - https://extensions.joomla.org/tags/file-management/
