I have a client who wants to embed PDFs as content rather than taking the content out of the document, posting that and adding a link to the PDF for download.
That feature is described on the Joomla website in this article. https://magazine.joomla.org/all-issues/october-2022/how-to-embed-a-pdf-in-your-joomla-content
This is using Tiny MCE.
Is there a similar way to do this using JCE?

JCE Pro includes a File Manager, which you can use to upload and insert PDF files, either as links, or embedded into article content.
If the File Manager button is not in your editor toolbar, you can add it in Editor Profiles -> Features & Layout.
By default, pdf files will be inserted as links, but you can select the Embed option when inserting the file, which allows you to then set the dimensions required.
See - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/documentation/file-manager/inserting-editing-a-file
You can set Embed as the default Format option in Editor Profiles -> Plugin Parameters -> File Manager, which will then automatically embed the pdf when you drag & drop it into the editor.

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.
