Hello, I have all the latest versions including the FontAwesome plugin. How can I get the icons to display in the backend editor?

I have tried adding the URL to the fontawesome CSS, located in different folders etc.

I can add the icons using the dropdown, no problem, but nothing gets displayed, I need to switch to code view to see the code has been added.

Thanks

Ryan

If you are using Joomla 5, go to Editor Profiles -> Plugin Parameters -> Font Awesome and set Font Awesome Version to 6

Save & Close.

Thanks that helped, I can now see the icons in the editor. A secondary question, how do I use the fa-brands fontawesome so I can use the linkedin, facebook etc icons?

Ryan

Please try FontAwesome for JCE 1.1.7 Beta - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/plugins/development/editor-fontawesome-dev

I now get and error when loading an article:

0 version_compare(): Argument #3 ($operator) must be a valid comparison operator

Ryan

Working in my test. Please try again.

Ryan,

Apologies, no luck, when I turn off the plugin the article loads, with it on I get the error. How can I send you logins?

Ryan

Apologies, please try Beta 2 - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/plugins/development/editor-fontawesome-dev

Ok that now works and I can load the article, the dropdown does not show the social / brands icons?
