Hi
When is update jce from 2.9.89 to 2.9.90 or newer, i lost the text in the editor by open a article in the backend! Further, the tabs "Editor"/"Code"/"Preview" will not show.
Printscreen attached:
jce_2989.jpg = all is fine (text and tabs will show)
jce_2990.jpg = no text and no tabs

I have fixed this o your site with an install of JCE Pro 2.9.94 Beta 2 - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/development
There was a bug that was triggered if the Doctype was set to HTML4, which it was on your site. This is now fixed in the beta, but you should consider setting the Doctype option to Mixed to give access to modern HTML5 tags.

ok - can confirm.
i have another site with html4 - changed to Mixed and update to jce 2.9.93 and it works now.
I will changed all my site of Mixed as you recommend

on my site, it's work now with 2.9.94 rc and html4/html5/Mixed.
