I had a complaint from a user that she was editing an article in the front end and lost all the formatting, it became just a block of text. I thought it was down to inexperienced user error but the same happened to me editing in the backend to fix that article.

I was fixing the article the user screwed up noting that instead of <p> </p> there were <br />. In the code editor I globally replaced <br /> with <p> <p/> and the text looked almost like it originally did. Back in the editor setting a heading 1 and a couple of heading 2s, good so far. I got to the last line and set it as heading 2 and all the formatting disappeared. In code view all the <p> </p> had been change to <br />. I had done nothing that could have caused that. I went through and fixed it again but this time it stayed fixed. Even if I had accidently pressed undo, which I don’t think I did, i it would not have done that surely. I have fat fingers and sometimes press an adjacent key on the keyboard or two keys together. Are there any keys or combination of keys that could make that change? Or am I just losing it?
