Hello,

With JCE, is it possible to resize and reduce the file size of an image when it's uploaded to a blog post, for example?

Example:

A user uploads a 2000px x 2000px image that's 2MB in size. Upon upload, they want to resize it to 800px x 800px and reduce its file size.

Thank you.

Ryan

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.

ok thank you.

in the same time, do you know how to remove/hide this default joomla button (see attached) in order to keep only green button linked to JCE file manager?

Ryan

That is a JCE button, not a Joomla button, that allows for selecting and uploading a file without first opening the File Browser.

You can disable that in Editor Profiles -> Plugin Parameters -> File Browser, by setting the Direct Upload button to No.
