Since version 2.9.9.6, all our custom virtual folders—such as media/$template/site—have stopped working.
JCE is configured to update automatically across all our websites. We use these folders for assets shared between the templates and certain users, including decorative SVG files, logos, and similar resources.
We currently have many projects relying on this configuration, including a major project that is due to be presented publicly on stage tomorrow. We understand the security-hardening decision behind this change, but its immediate impact has put us in a very difficult situation and may require many hours of work to resolve across all affected websites.
We understand that a dedicated plugin is being developed. In the meantime, could you please provide us with version 2.9.9.5? We currently only have the Beta 1 release of that version.
Could you also confirm the safest way to downgrade without overwriting or losing our existing configuration? We have exported and saved all the profiles—is that sufficient, or should we back up anything else before proceeding?
