Hi, I have 4 x different sizes set in the Profile >> Editor Params >> Filesystem >> Resize section.
For 99% of the images I only need 2 of these options. The other 2 are extra large ones for banners only. 

When I upload through the File Browser, there is an option to untick these 2 large ones.
When I upload through the Articles >> Images & Links tab >> Intro Image or Full Article Image there is not this option and it creates 4 x images. 

Is there a way to not create all 4, only the thumb and the standard one so I don't fill up the server? Maybe a check box for "On by Default" or something for each Resize option?

Perfect!

Although I can see it creates a thumbnail for each "resize" setting. Each one is the same size, we only need one, the puffins-sm.jpg. 

NOTE - this site is still in development and won't be ready to hand over to clients for a few weeks, so there is no rush on this. If its not possible to change, I can just remove the thumbnail one and put those settings into the "Resize" options.

I am writing here because this ticket matched my problem and the development version solves the problem of not using the first unchecked resize option.

After a few tries, I realized that the highest size must be indicated first, otherwise the uploaded photo is only partially resized.

For example, I have the following resize dimensions: 1200, 270, 855. I uncheck 1200 and keep 270 and 855 checked. When sending the photo, I get 2 images: the original image and one image sized at 855 px. No image sized at 270 px.

I then understood that I had to list my resizing in descending order: 1200, 855, 270. If I only check 855 and 270, these two resized images are then imported: the first at 855px wide and the second at 270px with a suffix (even if I didn't predefine a suffix).
